April 2007

The year 2006 marked the 100th anniversary of the Krone Company. Over 100 years ago Bernard Krone established a blacksmith shop in the village of Spelle in the Emsland Region of Germany. Today Krone is a global company with farm equipment distribution in 45 different countries, North America being their largest Ag export country. Considering the Semi Trailer Manufacturing Group, the Agricultural Retail Sales Group and the Ag Manufacturing Group, worldwide sales for Bernard Krone Holding GmbH in 2006 were in excess of $1,000,000,000.
The last 12 years have seen a dramatic change in the product lines offered by Krone as new machine technology has emerged at an extremely fast pace to serve the specialized needs of larger farming operations and commercial operators. Innovative new products such as the Big Pack Square Balers, the Big M Self-Propelled Mower Conditioner, the Big X Self-Propelled Forage Harvester and the Easy Collect Cornhead have forever changed the face of hay and forage harvesting, not only for the Krone Company, but for the industry as well.
A new generation of the Krone Big Pack Big Square Balers was introduced for 2006. This third generation of Big Packs continues the Krone design and performance advantages of the previous two generations making the Big Pack one of our fastest growing product segments.
Design innovation has not stopped with the larger machines as Krone rolls out 30 new core products for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. New models of EC Three Point Hitch Mowers, EC Pull Type Mower Conditioners, SW Rotary Rakes, KW Tedders and CP Round Balers are included as part of Krone’s product line. These new products and their innovative features are on the leading edge of hay and forage technology.
March 2007:
We are building an array of RTK differential correction towers to serve the Thumb of Michigan. We currently have the area North of M-46 and East of I-75 covered. This network allows a tractor with auto steer to be within .8” on a repeatable basis. This is an amazing product that can save tremendous time, hours, fuel, and other inputs. It can also extend the work day. Jeff Moore and Geoff VanSickle are coordinating this project and can be reached at Jeff@FarmDepot.biz or G.Vansickle@FarmDepot.biz
We are currently performing preventative maintenance across the state with our service trucks and factory trained technicians. If you would like us to schedule your preseason work, please call and ask for the service manager
If you have any questions, complaints, suggestions, or comments, please feel free to contact us at 989-673-6172 or 888-537-8257 or Mike@FarmDepot.biz.
